Payment Plugin: Stripe Managed Payments

Stripe Managed Payments uses Stripe Checkout and makes Stripe the merchant of record for eligible digital-goods transactions.

  1. Enable Managed Payments for the Stripe account.

  2. Create a restricted API key with Write access to Checkout Sessions, Customers, Subscriptions, and Refunds, and Read access to Prices, PaymentIntents, Charges, and Events.

  3. Enter that key and the matching publishable key in aMember.

  4. Create a webhook endpoint using the URL displayed below the plugin configuration. Subscribe to:

    • checkout.session.completed
    • invoice.paid
    • invoice.payment_failed
    • customer.subscription.deleted
    • customer.subscription.updated
    • charge.refunded
    • charge.dispute.created
    • charge.dispute.closed
  5. Enter the webhook signing secret in aMember.

  6. Set Stripe Price ID on every matching aMember billing plan.

Use a one-time Stripe Price for a non-recurring plan and a recurring Price with the same interval for a recurring plan. Different first- and second-period prices, fixed-count rebills, built-in aMember trials, and Stripe Connect flows are not supported.
